Let’s be honest, momsh — me-time is a luxury when you’re a mom.

Between preparing breakfast, doing laundry, working from home (or outside!), helping with homework, and chasing after a toddler who thinks the dog bowl is a toy… it feels like there’s zero time left for yourself.
Pero sa totoo lang, I’ve learned that if I don’t take even a few minutes for myself, I start feeling drained, irritable, and honestly, hindi ako the best version of me for my family. Kaya lately, I’ve made it a non-negotiable to squeeze in a little me-time — even if it’s just 10 minutes.
Here’s how I do it. Baka makatulong rin sa’yo:
1. Coffee in Silence (No Phone, No Chika)
After everyone has eaten and before I wash the dishes, I give myself 10 minutes to just sit with my coffee. No social media. No background TV. Just me, my hot cup, and a little peace.
Yung simpleng moment na ‘yun? It feels like a mini-vacation.
2. Quick Read (1 Chapter or a Blog Post)
Sometimes, I pick up a book or read an inspiring blog post. It makes me feel like me again — not just Mommy, but Peachy the woman who loves words and stories.
3. Stretch and Breathe
If I’m feeling super overwhelmed, I lie on my yoga mat and stretch while listening to soft music. 10 minutes lang, but it resets my mood and gives me a breather — parang system refresh.
4. Mini K-Drama Break
I allow myself to watch just one scene or 5–10 minutes of a K-drama I’m currently into. Sometimes, that little escape is enough to get me through the rest of the day.
5. Write Something Just for Me
Whether it’s journaling or writing a future blog idea, I feel calm when I’m pouring thoughts onto paper (or my phone notes). It’s a simple joy, pero ang laki ng impact sa mental health.
6. Skincare = Self-Care
Even when I’m pagod na, I make time to do my simple skincare routine before bed. Washing my face, applying toner, and moisturizer feels like a hug to myself.
Why It Matters
Minsan feeling natin, dapat big time ang me-time — a spa day, a long vacation, or hours away from the kids. But I realized: even small pockets of time count.
When I care for myself, kahit kaunti lang, I show up better for my family. Mas mahaba ang pasensya ko, mas may energy ako, at mas masaya ako sa ginagawa ko.
So if you’re a tired mom reading this, this is your reminder:
Take 10 minutes for YOU.
You deserve it. No guilt, no pressure — just presence and peace.
Let me know, momsh, ano ang me-time mo? Share it in the comments! Baka ma-try ko rin! 💕
