Sunday Reset Routine: How I Prep for the Week Ahead

Sunday Reset Routine

Every Sunday, after all the laundry, errands, and pa-extra rice na hapunan, I give myself a small pocket of time to breathe and reset. Hindi man perfect ang execution each week, but this little routine keeps me sane and helps me start Monday with less stress and more clarity.

If you’re a fellow mom na feeling sabaw by Wednesday (raise your hand, momsh!), maybe this simple Sunday Reset Routine will help. 💛

1. Quick Home Tidy-Up (Just 20–30 minutes!)

I don’t do a full-blown linis — just a light reset of high-traffic areas like the kitchen, sala, and bedroom. I put away kalat, fluff the pillows, and wipe down the counters. Bonus: It makes Monday feel less overwhelming.

Tip: I involve the kids! Make it a “10-minute tidy race” with music and a prize (like extra screen time).

2. Refill Essentials

This is my time to check:

  • Kung may sabon pa sa banyo
  • Kung may tissue sa kitchen
  • If baon containers are clean
  • If the water bottles are ready

Little things, but they make a big difference when you’re rushing Monday morning.

3. Meal Plan + Grocery List

I sit down with coffee and plan out our meals — kahit simple lang.

Sample:

  • Monday: Tinola
  • Tuesday: Pasta
  • Wednesday: Tofu and veggies
  • Thursday: Adobo
  • Friday: Ulam of choice ni hubby

Once the plan is done, I list down groceries and order online or plan my palengke trip.

4. Mind Dump / Weekly To-Do List

Before bed, I open my planner or notes app and dump everything in my brain — bills to pay, appointments, errands, etc.

It clears mental clutter and helps me sleep better.

5. Self-Care Reset

Kung may time pa (and energy), I’ll do one thing just for me:

  • A long shower with my favorite body wash
  • Reading a chapter from my current book
  • Face mask habang nagti-TikTok scroll
  • Journaling or light stretching

Doesn’t have to be fancy — basta makakahinga ka man lang saglit.

My Why

Doing a Sunday reset isn’t about being productive for the sake of it. It’s about creating a softer Monday for me and my family. It’s my little way of saying, “Hey, I got you” — to myself and to them.

So if you’re a fellow mom who feels like the weeks just blur into each other — try your own version of a Sunday reset. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just intentional.

Here’s to calmer Mondays and more grounded mom days. 💛
