What happens when guns suddenly exist in a gun-free world? Trigger takes us on a wild, thought-provoking ride.

Momsh, grabe. I just finished watching Trigger on Netflix, and wow—hindi lang siya basta action-packed. It made me think, it made me feel, and it left me wondering what I would do if I were in their shoes.
This isn’t your usual K-Drama na pa-kilig o pa-iyak. Trigger is a full-on socio-political thriller that throws questions at you from every direction. Pero kahit intense, ang galing ng pagkagawa—may puso pa rin.
The Premise: Guns + Chaos + Real Emotions
Imagine living in a country where no one owns guns. Peaceful, diba? But then one day, random people start receiving firearms via delivery. Parang Shopee haul, pero horrifying. The whole country panics. Parang ang daming Karen at Kevin bigla.
Enter: Lee Do (Kim Nam-gil) – the brooding, soft-spoken detective na may past bilang sniper. He wants to stop the violence, pero in a way that doesn’t involve more violence.
Then there’s Moon Baek (Kim Young-kwang) – chill, composed, and… terrifying. He’s the brains behind the whole chaos, distributing guns to force society to wake up.
Emotional But Not Overly Dramatic
One thing I loved? It didn’t try to overly dramatize everything. The scenes felt real. Relatable. Kasi even the people na nagkakabarilan? Most of them were just ordinary, stressed, and tired citizens who got pushed too far.
And let’s be honest, momshies — ilang beses na tayong sumabog dahil sa pressure, sa pagod, sa unfair treatment? This drama reminds us that people snap for a reason… and those reasons are often ignored.
Favorite Moments
- Yung scene where a kid holds a gun and the whole city freezes. Instead of hurting him, Lee Do talks to him with pure compassion. Literal goosebumps, momsh. 😢
- The part where people start turning in their guns voluntarily. It gave me hope. Na kahit sa gulo, may humanity pa rin.
Worth Watching?
YES. If you’re in the mood for something deep, gripping, and meaningful, Trigger is definitely worth the 10-episode ride. Hindi siya nakaka-bore. Every episode is intense—but in a smart way.
According to my sis — worth watching daw in tagalog because mas feel na feel mo yung mga murahan…LOL!
Hindi ito yung K-Drama na mapapanood mo habang naglalaba. This one deserves your full attention. It’s thrilling, it’s reflective, and it made me hug my family tighter. Kasi ang gulo sa labas, pero sa loob ng bahay natin? May peace tayo.
Trigger made me realize na sometimes, ang pinaka-powerful weapon natin is kindness. And when the world is loud and angry, it’s the calm ones that truly make a difference.
