When I first started blogging, it was simply a way for me to share my life as a mom — our meals, our travels, our everyday kwento. I didn’t expect that years later, that same blog and my social media would become not just a creative outlet, but also a real source of income for our family.
What’s even more amazing? Some of that income is passive. That means it keeps coming in even when I’m not actively posting or pitching to brands. And if you’re a fellow mom looking for ways to earn while staying at home with your kids, let me share how I do it — step by step, with love and intention.
1. Affiliate Marketing
One of the easiest ways I earn passive income is through affiliate links. I share products I already use and love — kitchen tools, mom-friendly skincare, food finds, etc. — and when someone clicks my link and makes a purchase, I earn a small commission.
I use platforms like:
- Lazada & Shopee Affiliates
- Involve Asia
- Amazon (for international readers)
These links live on my blog posts and old Instagram captions — even if I’m not online that day, they can still generate income.

2. Sponsored Evergreen Blog Posts
Some of the sponsored posts I’ve done over the years are still generating views (and income!). I work with brands who want content that lasts, so instead of one-time campaigns, I pitch evergreen topics that will stay relevant — like family budgeting, recipes, or parenting tips. Bonus: brands sometimes renew or repurpose these posts!
3. Digital Products
I’ve started offering simple digital downloads like meal planners, budgeting templates, and baon lists for busy moms. These are created once, uploaded to my blog or Gumroad, and shared on social media. Moms download them while I sleep — it still feels surreal!
4. YouTube Ad Revenue (If You Have a Channel)
For those who have a YouTube channel, your old videos can continue earning through ad revenue. Even my older recipe and family vlogs still get views and contribute to my monthly income. If you’re already creating video content for IG or TikTok, consider repurposing them for YouTube too!
5. Pinterest Traffic to Blog
Pinterest might not be huge here in the Philippines, but it drives international traffic to my blog. I pin my blog graphics, and when people click through, they read my posts — which boosts ad views and affiliate clicks. It’s a slow-burn strategy, but definitely part of my passive income setup.
Final Thoughts
Earning passive income from blogging and social media doesn’t happen overnight — it took time, consistency, and lots of learning. But if you keep showing up, sharing what you love, and building trust with your audience, the rewards will come.
Mama, your story, your tips, and your voice matter. And yes, they can help bring in extra income, even while you’re in your pambahay doing laundry or preparing dinner. 💕
