Before Tita Becka left for the US ast week, she treated us for an eat-all-you-can-dinner at Saisaki in Greenhills. My nanay doesn’t really like going out to eat in restaurants {or anywhere else for that matter} but ever since I learned how to drive and we bought Ianne A., she started liking to go out with us.
It was a fun night for the family. Everybody enjoyed the buffet specially the kids, because of the unlimited ice cream! I ate a lot but not the way that I used to because I am trying to lose weight, as you can imagine…hmmmnnn.
I said no to my favorite makis and ate a teeny-weeny bit of the lechon skin…mwihihihi.
RAWR!!
Of all the Dad’s/ Saisaki/ Kamayan branch that I’ve been to, I find the service at this greenhills branch to be exceptional. The staff are friendly, attentive and very service oriented.

After our little adventure at the Adventure Camp of Batis Aramin, we wanted to have a really good dinner. So we asked the tricycle drivers outside of the resort to take us to the Kamayan sa Palaisdaan.
I guess they had a different restaurant in mind and took us to the Palaisdaan Restaurant in Tayabas, Quezon. It was really a few minutes ride from Lucban so we didn’t mind. Besides, we were really hungry.
After we got settled in our floating table/cottage, we asked the waiter for their menu and ordered….
Squid Sisig {₱185}
Sinugno
It was my first time to try Sinugno and I found it really flavorful. Tilapia is grilled and then cooked in coconut milk.
We also ordered Pork Sinigang {₱250}, Steamed Vegetable {₱50},Ginataang Suso w/ Pako {₱110} and Grilled Fish. I forgot what kind of fish and which part.
The food actually took very long before it arrived. We asked the waiter if they have a mosquito coil, which they should be having given that the place becomes the venue of mosquito party during night time. Sadly, they did not have one. It’s okay to try this place once but I’m really not going back there should I be in Lucban or the places nearby.

When choosing a place to take my daughter for bonding, as much as possible, I want to take her somewhere where she can have fun and is educational at the same time.
This is what you’ll get when you visit The Robot Zoo.
The Robot Zoois a traveling exhibit that has already toured science and natural history museums and zoos in Europe, North America and other venues across the globe. It features larger-than-life animated animal robots that reveal mechanisms that simulate the body parts of their real-life counterparts. That’s a unique treat that’s sure to bring fun and excitement for kids and families to enjoy.
Part of the The Robot Zoo is a 9 feet long robot platypus whose parts guests can freely move and manipulate.
And there’s a small one where you can assemble its different body parts….

When my sister and my brother {who are ten years and thirteen years older than me} were still children, they were able to go to Quezon at least twice because our relative on my father’s side has a realtive living there.
I don’t know how many Pahiyas Festival they were able to see but by the time I was born, my parents got busy with life and they didn’t go anymore. So it had been one of those listed in my bucket list to see the colorful festival in Lucban.
As you already know, the Pahiyas Festival is a very colorful festival that is celebrated every 15th of May in honor of San Isidro Labrador/ St. Louis, Bishop of Toulouse. It is the farmers’ thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest with a grand display of colorful rice wafers {kiping}, fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts adorning every house in the town.

After checking out of Bellaroca, we took a tricycle and a jeepney going to Boac. we had reservations here at The Boac Hotel which is think is the most decent hotel in town. It was a Sunday, almost all establishments are closed except for the church, the gift shop and the hippest restaurant at the plaza.
Upon arrival, we were given a glass of iced tea as a welcome drink and each of us gets a fan {I chose the green one}.
The history, rich culture and the traditions of this small town are the first thing you will notice upon entrance in the lobby as well as in the interior design of the hotel, giving it the ambience of a cozy old home. If you’re on the coward side, it might give you a little bit of a “bahay-ni-lola” feel or haunted hotel feel. Nevertheless, I found it homey
I love this chandelier! It reminds me of the scene in Coraline where in she had dinner in the “other mother’s” house and the other mother was trying to lure her with a lavish spread. Different flavors of smoothies were served in a “chandelier-like” container like this. It automatically went down so Coraline can get a glass of smoothie.
We got this Family Deluxe room for P2,000. It has two double beds, an a/c, a bathroom, towels, soap and shampoo. The bathroom was really small but there was a water heater. What you can see for yourself is what you get. It is a really small room!!
