What’s a Good Anti-Virus?

I’m having a problem with my desktop computer again and I think it has something to do with the new anti-virus that I’m using. When my small internet café was still running, I was using Kaspersky Anti-Virus as my virus scanner and pc security. It was very effective and I was happy with the result but there’s an annual fee which costs around $30 per computer. It was okay and I could live with that. It’s business, I couldn’t afford even a single one of my computers getting infected.

Now that the shop is already closed and I’m just using one computer, I didn’t renew my Kaspersky and used a free version of a different anti-virus. The things is, I don’t think it’s as effective and I’m thinking of purchasing either Kaspersky or a different one.

I Finally Decided To Buy An External Flash….

After thinking and re-thinking about it for a number of times, I finally bought an external flash for my camera. I already have a lighting kit which I use for photos taken without natural light or those taken during the later part of the day. But somehow, I feel that I needed more.

Improving my photos is one of the goals that I have for this year. So I finally gave in and dropped by at Henry’s the other day to buy this Yongnuo Speedlite YN468-II. It set me back for ₱4,700, a small amount to pay for a big improvement.

I’ve used it a few times since I bought it but I haven’t been really tinkering much.

Yongnuo is known for being one of the most affordable flash available for Canon and Nikon. For a while, Yongnuo flashes weren’t compatible with DSLR’s TTL metering systems, which meant you needed to use them in manual mode. Now, this Yongnuo Speedlite YN468-II is an E-TTL(II) flash that works wonderfully together with Canon DSLR camera bodies for automatic flash exposure, zoom reflector adjustment and other advanced features.

The speedlight also feels incredibly solid and sturdy in the hand, and is made with very nice feeling plastics. I can’t wait to use this with the Canon 650D peanutbutter♥ bought for me.

Now I want some rechargeable batteries to go with it and maybe a new lens? {Canon 50mm f/1.4 or Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L}

For the meantime, I need to get to know this baby well. I can see lots of dinner dates with him in the near future, after all, he’s only needed when it’s a little dark.

White Leather Case for MyPhone A919

A week after buying my new phone, I went out and bought this white leather case. It took me a lot of asking before I found a stall that sells one that fits my phone because it’s kind of new. There are only two colors available at that time: white and black.

I chose white because my phone’s white and it looks prettier and more elegant.

I should’ve chosen black. Unlike flexible stainless steel tubing this white leather case tends to get dirty easier than any other color. Mine looked gray after a week.

I got the case for ₱350.

I’ll buy the black next year.
