OUR two babies: Ykaie and ianne A.
ianne A. is our car which Ykaie named. I took her for a PMS last November 8. Honestly, I don’t know anything about cars and car maintenance. Things like these, I find out through peanutbutter♥ or along the way. We got our car early this year during our 5th Anniversary. It was like God’s Anniversary gift for us because it was a 2010 model and only has 12,000 mileage in it. I believe we got a sweet deal.
Apparently, I had tons of things I had to learn about cars.
PMS stands for Periodic Maintenance Service. It must be performed on a new vehicle at 1,000 km and then every 5,000km after. I took ianne A. on her 15,ooo mileage and found out that it was only her second time. The previous owner didn’t take her for PMS.
All you had to bring for PMS is the Warranty Booklet and a copy of the registration.
Prevention is always better than cure. The main purpose of PMS is to keep the car in perfect working condition for driving comfort, safety, and peace-of-mind. It also ensures that your vehicle will have a longer service life because if ever there’s a problem, it will be detected early and therefore will be repaired at the earliest time possible.
During PMS, vital parts and lubes are inspected and if necessary, replaced, to prevent vehicle breakdown.
It usually take 2-3 hours. I asked my PIls to accompany me for the PMS because my FIL has a Toyota Mastercard. They gave us a 10% discount and we paid around ₱6,200 for the service.
Ykaie and lolo enjoyed the massage chairs while waiting…
Toyota Balintawak took care of both the car and their owners. Aside from the massage chairs, Ykaie had 6 cups of Iced Tea while waiting, I believe…LOL!
