Last December 24th was our first Christmas Eve at home. Whether you are making homemade ornaments to dress the Christmas tree, making colorful paper chains to deck the halls of your home or making Christmas cookies, crafting with the kids is a great way to add a little sparkle to your Christmas. Here is a list of different ideas.
You can take clear lightbulbs, put chunks of crayons inside and gently melt with a hairdryer and turn to make swirled ornaments of any colors you and your kids like!
Get the family together and turn up the Christmas music while you cut snowflakes out of paper and hang them in your windows.
Bake a couple dozen sugar cookies in Christmas shapes. Set up the cooled cookies and different kinds of sprinkles, colored candies and frosting and let the kids go nuts decorating Christmas cookies as a family.
Draw Christmas characters like Santa, Rudolph and Frosty The Snowman on paper plates and let the kids color them and add decorations to them to make them their own.
