I guess the lives of all the mommies out there would be boring if everyday goes on smoothly. The life of this mommy of a curious, nosey but super adorable three-year old is everything but boring. I never allow my daughter to take go alone in the bathroom specially to take a bath by herself because I’m worried that she might slip and fall on the floor. I know that whatever part of her body that hits the floor would cause pain or bruise. Slipping and falling in the bathroom is quite a common occurrence, right?
But one day, I found her in the bathroom, nervously flushing the toilet. Next thing I know, the water was overflowing from the toilet bowl and starting a small flood inside the bathroom. I told her to stop flushing. I can tell she was very scared because she knew mommy is going to be angry. I asked her what happened and she told me that she tried taking a bath by herself and that it was going along fine, until the soap she was using slipped from her hand and landed inside the toilet bowl. Her first reaction was to flush the soap to keep me from seeing what happened.
Apparently, the soap clogged the toilet so no matter how much we try to flush it down, the water comes back-up and overflows resulting in a small flood. Right then and there, I knew we needed plumbing repair. This super mommy knows how to cook, sew, clean and nurse but doesn’t know anything about plumbing.
Good thing our next door neighbor was a plumber and he was at home at the time that it happened. The toilet was fixed in no time. A looong talk with my daughter followed after that incident.
