One of the things that I’ve always thought about getting Ykaie should we move to a new home or should she have her own room some day is a bunk bed.
My sister and I used to share one when we were younger. She occupied the top and I occupied the bottom bunk. I remember there was a small wooden bar under the top bunk and I would hang into it like into a monkey bar. Sometimes I plead with sis so she would trade bunks with me. I love sleeping at the top bunk because it makes me feel higher than everyone else. Sure it was old and the design wasn’t that pretty but I’ve always enjoyed sleeping in bunk beds.
peanutbutter♥ and I are hoping to be blessed with one more angel soon and when that happens Ykaie won’t be the only child in the house anymore. I’m sure she would be more than glad to share rooms with a brother or a sister.
Bunk beds are so much better for siblings that share a room than two single beds. The primary reason is because it is a great space saver and would leave more room for other things like toys, study tables and cabinets. Plus bunk beds nowadays come in very trendy and cool designs and are very affordable too, making it a practical choice for every home.
Now I wonder, whatever happened to our bunk bed? I had no recollection whatsoever if it was broken or if it was passed on to a relative.
