Whenever it’s November 1 and it’s All Saint’s Day, it has been a tradition on peanutbutter’s side of the family to visit their departed loved ones in the cemetery. This doubles as a pre-family reunion to Christmas.
My MIL and her siblings, their sons and daughters (peanutbutter♥‘s cousins), and their kids also come to visit and pray.
This year, I think everyone was present. Twinkle even got to play with her cousins who were the same age as her. They bonded over pizza and dirty ice cream. Each one even got one of those colored sisiw’s (chicks) from their Lola Lucy.
Of course, Twinkle brought home her orange sisiw and named him “OJE”. It’s actually “Orange” but she’s bulol, so that’s how she calls him. To keep “Oje” healthy, alive, and happy, daddy made him a makeshift “home” out of an ice box, Ykaie’s Hello Kitty light, and some soil from his plants….
I remember one of Ykaie’s pet — a hermit crab named Sweet Chili and of course, our dear old JayR because we’re starting to keep pets again.
Oje is now 9 days old and Twinkle is very happy taking care of him.
