The Pahiyas Festival is one of the most colorful festivals here in the country. It is held every 15th of May in the town of Lucban in the province of Quezon. This festival is held in honor of San Isidro Labrador. This is also the farmer’s way to give thanks for their bountiful harvest.
Farmers show their beautiful produce by designing their houses with vegetables, fruits and colorful “Kiping”.
We were there last tuesday to celebrate this fiesta of all fiestas and we were able to witness how beautifully designed the houses are. This is our first time to attend the Pahiyas festival and we enjoyed it so much.
Traveling for four hours to get there is worth it. Even if the van that we rented back in Sta. Cruz to get there needed a new K&N Stock Replacement Air Filter.
I’ll share more of our experiences and photos at http://www.thewanderingpeach.com.
