One of the reasons that boats have remained in constant use in almost every human society is the nearly incredible pleasure that can be associated with that craft. Traveling in a boat on the open water is one of the most fun and uplifting experiences a human being can have. A boat can be a fantastic item to own and enjoy.
That said, the water can be dangerous as well. It is not just the battering effects of strong storms that can be harmful to a boat or its occupants. Water in and of itself is one of the most corrosive, tarnishing, rot-inducing substances known to man. The salt in sea water can be even worse.
